Whether you are entering nursing through the Associate of Health Sciences (ASHS) or advancing your career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Chattanooga College’s Hybrid Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is designed to meet you where you are.

Our hybrid model combines online coursework, hands-on labs, and supervised clinical rotations—preparing graduates to sit for the NCLEX-RN and practice as Registered Nurses.

Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Format: Hybrid (Online coursework + On-campus labs + Clinical rotations)
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Outcome: Prepared to sit for NCLEX-RN. Eligibility to sit for the NCLEX-RN is determined
by the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Completion of this program does not guarantee licensure.
Start Dates: Multiple cohorts offered throughout the year

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
Registered Nurse practice requires successful completion of the program, passing the NCLEX-RN, and meeting all state licensure requirements.

TWO ENTRY PATHWAYS

PATHWAY 1: ASHS-TO-BSN (PRE-LICENSURE)

Designed for students entering nursing without a nursing license, including graduates of the Associate of Health Sciences (ASHS).

This pathway is intended for students who have completed, or are completing, the Associate of Health Sciences (ASHS) or equivalent foundational healthcare coursework and are pursuing Registered Nurse licensure through a bachelor’s degree.

Students complete professional nursing coursework, skills labs, and clinical experiences required for RN practice.

Students entering nursing without an LPN license
Career changers pursuing RN licensure

This pathway is designed specifically for Licensed Practical Nurses seeking to expand their scope of practice and earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Eligible LPN coursework is evaluated for advanced standing, allowing students to build on existing clinical knowledge while completing RN-level education.

Active, unencumbered LPNs
Practical nurses seeking RN licensure and career advancement

Advantages for LPNs:

Transfer credit for prior nursing education
Program sequencing based on transcript evaluation
Builds on existing clinical experience and judgment
